No rooms 5/17-5/20?

What is happening in DC during this time frame? There is very little hotel availability and what is left is very pricey (defined as $300+ per night)! Or is it just high season? I wasn't expecting to run into trouble booking at this time of year for some reason!

Commencement at University of Maryland, Georgetown and George Washington University, plus various other graduations. Combine that with the height of touist season, school trips, and who knows what else and you have a busy time.

You can still stay outside and take Metro in and avoid the $300 plus per nite.

Here's a link to a DC Metro map: http://www.stationmasters.com/System...ystem_map.html Click on the station name to discover what accommodations are available at each stop.
