NO hotel for 3 friends March 21-24
We are three high school buddies going to NO for the first time March 21-24. We usually go to Vegas during this time, but that did not work out this year. We usually rent a suite, and each pay for one night, which works out to around $300 for each of us for 3 nights.
We'd like a suite in the french Quarter at a similar rate. Close to the nightlife and action. Can someone recommend a suitable place to stay for this group?

Steve, I have just been planning a similar trip for three ladies to NO and the hotels I think you might want to consider are:
Bourbon Orleans - this is right in the heart of the action. They have suites on the top floor with two beds and a sofabed.
Lafitte's Guest House - a block or two out of the action. The top floor is all one room with two beds and a sofabed and a full bath.
Le Richelieu - a few blocks from the action with affordable suites, a restaurant and a bar. Paul McCartney and family stayed in the largest suite for a few months while he was recording a Wings album (just a little color for you).
I'm sure you'll get loads more ideas but there's a start. Laissez le bon temp roulez!

Steve- yes, I have stayed at the I'national House and Loved it. It is very chic - kinda New York or LA feeling. Similar to a W hotel if you stayed in one before. Great little bar inside the lobby and the restaurant there, The Lemon Grass, is very good. Have fun. We are NOLA regulars!
