Niagara Falls Skyline Foxhead- avoid this hotel until construction is finished!
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Skyline Foxhead the last weekend in April. They are adding about 8 floors and putting on a new facade. They have no reservation about putting people in rooms on the floors they are working on and just below the actual floor addition. We were awoken each morning at 7:30 am to jackhammers, hammering, men yelling and one man actually singing at what seemed to be the top of his lungs. We had two power outages and one room (we switched rooms twice) that had no heat- it was 32 degrees at night! They totally had the rooms accross the hall from us ripped apart and the windows out to redo the facade (on both floors we stayed on).
The front desk staff was apologetic, but their hands were tied by the inconsiderate wishes of upper management who wanted those rooms filled. When I made the reservations in March I was not told that the hotel was under construction.
All the other guests I talked to considered this "the worst night I ever spent at a hotel" to quote on one woman.
I wrote a letter to the manager..I hope the message gets accross...
