Newport, RI restaurant suggestions

This is a re-post. I'm not all that familiar with this site and realized after posting the title that it wasn't very specific.

My parents are looking to dine at a seafood restaurant with a view. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for your feedback [except for all the wise @sses. Maybe you can find a chat room to flaunt your sarcasm. This website is a little too classy for you].

Hi Margie,
Hands down the best view is from the Castle Hill Inn. Choose a time before sunset to really get a good view of the area. While the restauarnt is not totally dedicated to seafood - there are many choices. I was there a few weeks ago and they had striped bass, cod and,of course lobster..plus many other choices. Reserve a table "at the window"...they'll know what you mean. It's not cheap - but it's worth every penny! I think dinner for 2 cost us about 150.00( but we had wine and appetizers and dessert as well)

I agree with Emily. You simply cannot beat Castle Hill's views and the food is excellent to boot. We too were there a couple of weeks ago, had lunch outside on their patio overlooking the bay. Both food and views were absolutely fantastic! It is an old cedar shake style resort, and so picturesque. (If it matters, they've also won the Wine Spectators Award for Excellence)

Unfortunately, Castle Hill is renovating their kitchen beginning Nov. 11 until next April. I've heard about the Cheeky Monkey and Tavern Horse Inn. Any other recommendations would be appreciated and not just with a view. Thanks

Are you thinking about the "White Horse Tavern" maybe? If so, it's a very nice, cozy, romantic place.
