New York Yankee Game

I've gotten great information out of this forum, so here goes another. Probably going to a Yankees game in August, how are the bleacher sections? 2 adults, 2 teens? we can get seats in the no-alcohol section for $10 -- just want to enjoy the festivities, not really into baseball that much .

Want to check out Monument Park and the stadium. Any problems with this? not concerned about view necessarily. But, are there any other problems with being out there?

Be careful with bleacher seats! I am going to the Yankees game on Thursday...leaving for NYC tomorrow from MN. Read through the www.yankees.com website. I *thought* that I read the bleacher seats do not give you access to Monument Park etc. I am not for sure, but on the website it should tell you. Good Luck!

Do yourself a favor and get some tier reserves in the upper deck. You'll have a much better time. Bleacher seats give you access to the bleacher area only. With tier reserves you can go all over the stadium, from the very top down to the 2 main gift shops on the field level. Better food selection too. Better view. Better everything.

That is what I got, they were $5 for Thursday due to a promo! Are these seats ok to sit in to take in the stadium feel?

Are there any codes for special rates for weekday games, in August? Just curious, since Ticketmaster has that option.

Be sure to get there early to visit monument park, I think they close it 1/2 hour before game time and there is a long line.

I've never seen a discount code for Yankees tickets. They don't even participate in the Grand Slam Packs.

OK, one last question? Are there casual places to eat around Yankee Stadium, within a 5-10 minute walk, before or after a game? Or just inside the stadium itself?

There are a few bars around Yankee Stadium, not really restaurants. At least I never noticed any the 50+ times I've been there. It's not the best neighborhood, so I wouldn't recommend wandering around. There are often a few hotdog/pretzel vendors outside the stadium which probably have cheaper food than inside.

I have never heard of reduced rates for weekday games.

The upper deck seats are actually very good. I'd recommend those over the bleachers.
