New York restaurant near the Mansfiled

Hello, Can anyone recommend a good restaurant near the Mansfield on 44th. Something close than we could get to easily after a long day in the city?
Thanks

NYC is packed with good restaurants.

What do you consider near - 3/4 blocks? or 8/10 blocks?

What's your budget - and what cuisines do you prefer?

Our days will be pretty busy gallery hoping around. what I'm looking for is a place 3-5 blocks around the Mansfield that we can either end up at before turning in or walk to after we come back to the hotel. It could be a more expensive one or a great inexpensive one.
Thanks for your help.

Your hotel is on what's known as Club Row. There are at least 6 hotels on the street, several of which have decent restaurants. City Club has DB Bistro Moderne, known for it's fois gras burger (but has regular burgers and other good things).

There's also a rest. called Gaby I think in the Iroquois hotel that's good

The Algonquin is a charming, historic hotel, also on the block and has 2 restaurants, 1 casual, one more formal. They also have live cabaret. Their lobby lounge is great for a drink and a snack. The bars at the Royalton across the street are quite trendy. (I think the bar in the Mansfield is trendy but have never been in it).

A block away is Cafe Un Deux Trois, a French brasserie, nothing exciting, but serviceable. Trattoria Trecolori is a popular, inexpensive Italian. Utsave is a good Indian a block or so away.Jewle of India is another Indian next door to your hotel.

I hear that Akdeniz which is 2 short blocks away is very good and good value (Turkish)

Bottom line, you are really spoiled for choice in the area.
