New York New York LAS VEGAS

Has anyone stayed at this hotel. It sounds like a lot of fun and rooms seem to be of a good standard. I would like to hear opinions on the hotel, casino and food. Any tips regarding upgrades, deals, comps etc
Thanks in advance

Been to several places in Las Vegas, but never stayed at New York New York. However, I have found a site that provides great information. Don't let the address fool you, it is very informative and legitimate.

I haven't stayed at that specific hotel, but last time we were in Vegas, I spoke to a couple people that were staying there. They said they liked it okay - but that it was very noisy and they were a bit disappointed in that. I don't have any more details - don't know if that helps...

It is very nicely done, and it did feel like we were in New York! However, the pool is quite small for the size of a casino. (Our friends stayed there so we were their guests one afternoon. Our kids couldn't wait to get back to the pools at the Mirage.) Also, it's toward the end of the strip (across from the MGM and Excaliber), not centrally located, so you'll have to drive to other casinos - or walk alot. Have fun!

We stayed at NYNY in March with a teen, the pool area is small and very basic. Otherwise no complaints, the price is much less than some of the new hotels mid strip. Keep that in mind when you compare hotels.
We could hear the roller coaster til about 10 pm but the noise did not bother us.
We had 1 restaurant meal in the Italian restaurant there, it was Northern Italian and very nice.
The rooms were fine, some of them are small but ours was nicely decorated.
By all means try it out.

We stayed at the NY Ny hotel in Vegas in May this year. Nice hotel. We enjoyed it. It does get loud at night. Rooms are standard. Nothing special. Loved eating at Motown Cafe. Also the hotel is so cute with its NY theme. Steam coming out of the Manhole covers etc... NY rollercoaster is fun. We made sure we asked for a room away from the coaster. Good location on the strip. We also saw Lord of the Dance at the hotel.
Make sure to see MYSTERE at Treasure Island. EXCELLENT show!!!
Have fun!

Are you coming all the way from Oz to see Las Vegas?
NYNY is as described above. Basic rooms, nothing special, smallish. Pool is small and basic. I enjoy the casino there because it has an "outdoor" feel to it and the area is so interesting in its design. Location is good in that the better hotels are all reasonably close by. Food is OK, but you'll be within walking distance of literally hundreds of places to eat, so don't feel restricted to the hotel.
Bottom line is that if you got a very good rate, NYNY is fine. But be aware that hotel packages are very competitive in Las Vegas and rates change regularly. Make sure you're not missing out on one of the even better hotels at nearly the same price (be sure and check Mandalay Bay, Venetian, Mirage, Treasure Island, Paris and Bellagio).
I'll be visiting Oz for the first time next month....can't wait!

A friend raved about NewYorkNewYork so I went to check it out. It wasn't for me. I found nothing cute about the noise as I tried to eat in the deli. I was happy to go back to where I was staying which for that trip was Caesar's
Palace (I've also stayed at the Mirage and Monte Carlo).

We stayed at NYNY in April this year and I would definately recommend it!
We had a great time. It may be a bit noisy compared to some of the other casinos, but we just found it a bit more alive than the rest.I'm not sure what age you are but we're in our early 30's at it was perfect for us. There are a couple of great bars in the complex. A piano bar that's very popular on weekends, so be there early, and a jazz bar that was very good for a late night drink.
The rooms were good and we were never to bothered by the rollercoaster outside. It stops at 10pm and who goes to bed before 10 in Las Vegas anyway?
The architecture of the hotel is spectacular and there is so much to look at. We would definately stay here again!
