I understand the Penn has been refurbished, what i was saying, since the OP asked about the benjamin, is that i don't think it is on the same level or caliber as the Penninsula or the Sherry- not differentiating on style.

TC makes a rather good point. Depending on the services of the hotel you plan to use, sometimes a nice suite at a slightly cheaper hotel can be nicer than the smallest room at a real luxury hotel for the same price.

To add on to Patrick's comment, we got a one bedroom suite at the Benjamin which was very spacious. I agree that it's not in the Luxury category as the others mentioned, though IMO a great option in the 4 star category.

We decided to stay at the Sherry. We enjoyed the old school feel and found it very relaxng. We went to the new roof top bar at the Peninsula. It was fun, but there was a hip atmosphere, to which we did not relate.
