New York fun group

We are traveling to NY at the end of May for a work-related trip. A group of 20 of us (guys and girls) want to organize something different and fun to do one afternoon for two to three hours.
We are all energetic and active and looking for someone other than your typical bus tour. We also love good food and wine as well as anything arts related. Any ideas?

One of my favorite things to do is a street food tour; haven't been in NYC yet, but there are plenty to choose from:

I would imagine that with a group that size you would be able to get your own tour.

You could check which galleries are holding shows and make a little do it yourself tour.

For something more physical have a look at Chelsea Pier - which has bowling, golf and a ton of other options

I've done a number of food tours with this organization:

They have always been lots of fun, including one I did with a group of Fodorites. I have only joined a regular tour, but they have private tours, too, which you might need because of the size of your group.

Water taxi. Get off at any stop you would like and see lots of N Y neighborhoods. Take from Chelsea Pier area.
Walk the iconic Brooklyn Bridge and enjoy "the best pizza" in the city on the Brooklyn side. Hype!

Thanks for all of the suggestions. We are definitely looking for something organized as opposed to doing it on our own.
mclaurie Have you gone on a tour with Bike the Big Apple? I actually emailed them but never heard back. This exactly the combination of active and culture I am looking for!
elberko I will check into Foods of NY. Thanks!
Amy thanks for the link.

Any other ideas much appreciated

I have not done a bike tour myself, but it sounded like just the thing for your group. Freetoursbyfoot.com offers bike tours too. I'd contact them as well.

Are you all good Urban bikers? Otherwise, I'd suggest a customized private tour of Central Park See SusanK at Anyguide dot com
