New York Entertainment Book?
We just returned from Vancouver and were able to use the Vancouver Entertainment book up there to save on restaurants, etc. Has anyone used the New York City Entertainment book and did you find it to be of value?
Thanks. We'll be in NYC next month.

I bought a NYC Entertainment Book on E-Bay for $10. We are travelling to NYC Wednesday!! HURRAY! FINALLY! I plan on using the book for SOMEthing, just to get my money out of it.
However, when we get back on Monday, I would be happy to give it to you. Just let me know if you would be interested.

Hi Ronda,
I'm a native New Yorker and I purchased the book for $20 in Jan. I would highly recommend it! There are TONS of pages of restaurants you can go to--many of them in the theater district (42nd St). There are many options so that even if you go to about 2-3 restaurants you'll get your money's worth and more. Quite a few vouchers, have a "buy 1 entree, get 1 entree of same value or less for free". I think you have to activate some kind of card or something, but it's just a quick phone call. We haven't made it to the restaurants yet (we mainly eat at home), but we mainly got the book for the movie tickets and the free gym weeks. While our friends pay $10 pp, we pay $5-6 for the same movies and movie theaters.
I noticed that there are also tons of discounts and buy 1 get 1 free vouchers for touristy events and places that you are sure to attend if you are touring. Places such as the intrepid museum, interactive bowling alleys, botanical gardens, the water boat that gives you a tour of lower manhattan (but honestly, take the staten island ferry; it's absolutely free, instead of the $30pp and you get as close as the other boat to the statue of liberty, though you won't get the verbally-guided tour; but do you really care when certain buildings were built??), etc.
Anyways, the point is...I highly recommend you get the book. Even if you are here for the weekend and you are planning on eating out and going to some sights; you will certainly be saving A LOT of money.
Have fun in NYC!!

The website is www.entertainmentbook.com. I'm not sure if the $10.00 promotion is still going on.
