As a frequent visitor to the city when I'm on business Luzzo's is my favorite, but where is John's that you reference. Is it on 12th street?

No, the John's on 12th St is a different place altogether.

John's Pizza--the original location is on Bleecker St in the West Village. there's also a location in the theater district on West 44th St.
