New York City Parking

I know it is expensive to park in Manhattan but we will be staying in New Jersey and want to go into Manhattan for the day ( a Saturday). Any suggestions for a reasonable place to park to shop in Midtown, Bloomingdale's, etc.? Any coupons, deals?

How do I post on New York forum as opposed to the United States forum?

You could have tagged it New York. It's not really a forum, it's just a tag for sorting purposes and so people will see what state your are asking about before opening. You can click on report abuse and ask them to tag it if you like.

Where in NJ will you be? Another option is to park at NJ Transit and take the train in.

www.bestparking.com might be helpful if you drive in.
www.njtransit.com is the NJ Transit website.

If you look at the icon parking website it will show a ton of garages - with rates. And you can reserve a spot.

Assume $25-$30 or so - depending on exactly where you park. and tip the valet.

Depending on where you are staying and how many people are in your group, you might find it easier and cheaper to take a bus, train, or ferry. But I don't have enough information to make a recommendation. There are tons of garages, and you're going to pay $25 to $40 for the day. Plus tolls.
