New Year's Eve in southern Utah
I am a tourist from Brazil and I will be in Southern Utah with my wife during the next few days. We will rent a car and visit
Zion, Bryce Canyon, Glen Canyon, and Grand Canyon.
We are still unsure where we will spend New Year's Eve and we would really appreciate your suggestions. If you had to
pick one of these places to spend New Year's Eve in (Zion, Bryce Canyon, Glen Canyon, and Grand Canyon), which would you choose?
Thanks!

Hi Funky,
I hate to tell you, but none of your destinations will have much going on for New Years. They are National Parks, not Las Vegas. Las Vegas, which maybe you are visiting too, is the place for a wild New Year's eve.
Also please be aware that we are predicted to have MAJOR winter storms throughout New Years. That means possible flooding, heavy snow at high altitude. Check current weather and road conditions before you drive anywhere.
Good luck!

I would think a lot would depend on WHERE you could get lodging for New Years Eve.
If you only have a few days, then I would make the most of them by visiting the parks in a circle and not worring about where you end up. They are all beautiful locations. Bryce is the only one with out a city nearby. BTW, none of the parks have big cities nearby...just little ones.

Thanks for the replies.
I guess you're right, Dayle. The only wild thing about our New Year's Eve will be the snow storms! Actually we're not looking for a whole lot of action. But we wanted to make sure that there would be at least some type of New Year's celebration, even if it's a small party at the hotel.
Utahtea, would you have any recommendation for lodging in one of these cities where there would likely be a party at the hotel? My schedule is extremely flexible, so I could rearrange which cities I visit first depending on the best place to spend New Year's.
Thanks again, guys!

The Zion area has no large hotels, but it looks like Ruby's Inn (Bryce) is having a NYE party. Line dancing & party favors...but no alcohol. I don't know if that means that there IS no alcohol (wouldn't surprise me since Utah is a nearly dry state with its Mormon population) or if there's a cash bar. Maybe someone else can verify.

Hi again Funky,
If you search for Springdale on the web, you will find most of their lodging options.
Some of the hotels:
Desert Pearl
Flannigan's
Zion Park Inn
Bumbleberry Inn (yuk)
there are also several very nice B&Bs:
The Novel House
I can't say which might have some sort of NY celebration, but you could ask.
