We will be hosting our seventh annual "NYE Across the USA" party. Everyone brings heavy appetizers. We open sparkling wine and toast New York at 9pm, Chicago and 10pm, Denver at 11pm and California at midnight. Anyone on tap for Hawaii knows where the sleeping bags are! Lots of fun and anyone who has to make it a short night still feels like they had a "whoop-te-doo".

I'll be here at work--Aloha Tower Marketplace, where we set off the fireworks over Honolulu Harbor at midnight. I think ours are the best because the fireworks are RIGHT.THERE. so you see them right over your head, instead of in the distance.

We are thinking about taking our 6 yr son to Lake Tahoe and was wondering were we should stay for good fire works, ice skating, sleding all the fun things close to the hotel-condo. We are coming out of Houston and we are planning a 3 night stay.
Thanks for anyone suggestions. Ps It does not have to be Lake Tahoe. Just would like to get a way from Houston and see some holiday festive cheer and mountain/snow.
We are going to Steamboat Springs in March to ski for a week.
