Andrew8- I'm so sorry you won't be able to join us as well. And no need to take a back seat for the next GTG due to being "new here at Fodor's". You're a Fodorite! Although, I do understand the feeling....I remember when you joined so I guess I'm "older" than you and I still feel "new here at Fodor's". I wonder when that feeling will wear off?

I thought of something else - chocolate factory tour in Berkeley and a couple of blocks away is a sake factory.

Just tossing in ideas

A8, you've got mail!

And I was really new when I "crashed" my 1st GTG. Ok, I didn't crash but I was so unsure of how to go about going to one or even what they were, but they sounded fun so I hopped a plane to SF for the day. Am I ever glad I did!

Hi guys,

I'm so out of it--I just now found this thread!! I've been so busy at work I haven't been on the board much during the day. I really should get my priorities in order and spend more time on the board.

I sent an email to Paula about what to do Saturday, but really I'm open to anything. I've never been to Coit Tower so that sounds great.

But here's my question to all GTG'ers:

Would anyone like to go with me to the Beach Blanket Babylon show Saturday night? Kodi says it's really funny and I would love some company. They have a 6:30 show and a 9:30 show, I would be happy to go to either one.

Breakfast or brunch on Saturday sounds great, I will join the group whatever we do.

P_M, did you get tickets yet for Beach Blanket Babylon. We decided today we would try to do it tonight -- stopped by the box office, but it is fully sold out tonight. It tends to be even busier on weekends! Wish we were still going to be here on Sat. night.

Bike across the bridge and ferry back? It's really not difficult and you'll see views that are spectacular. www.blazingsaddles.com

Or check out the new Academy of Science (and acquarium); the largest green building in the US right now. www.calacademy.org. Then hope across the way to the DeYoung Museum. You can go to the top for a great view for free. Next door is the Japanese Tea garden.

Faina, that link doesn't show any tickets for tonight -- and only shows some rear cabaret (under the balcony with limited view) for tomorrow night. And those tickets are normally $49 on Friday, so $30 is not half price.
I should also say, that she did say they had some rear balcony seats for tonight -- so I shouldn't have said it was totally sold out! I just wouldn't sit way up there.

And by the way, for anyone wanting to do the bike ride and ferry back from Sausalito, Blazing Saddles is right next to Columbus Motor Inn.

There was a line at Mama's this past Sunday before it even opened. I was driving around and noticed it.

"Troy...how many fingers do I have up"?

"Thursday"!

Concussions are not to be messed with lightly. I hope he knows what he's doing.

I totally agree with you Kal, especially after seeing the hit he took that caused his concussion.
