New Orleans Swamp Tours
Anyone have a favorite swamp tour company between Pearl River Ecotours and Honey island boat tours ? We are two "mature' adults no kids and looking for plain naturalist talk (as opposed to something hocky). We are planning to take a tour next Friday, Feb 3, 2012.

Littleman: We need a half day tour as my husband will be at a conference in the AM. We also we need to be picked up at our hotel. Curious about your reason for suggesting Honey Island over Pearl River.
Also, am more into birds and flora!

In addition to (or instead of) a swamp your, consider visiting Jean Lafitte NHP and Preserve, which is an easy drive from NOLA. You can stroll the boardwalks looking for wild life.
