New Orleans Bed and Breakfast

Hey guys! My husband and I are going to New Orleans for a morning wedding on August 6th. Do you have any recommendations for somewhere to stay (bed and breakfast) that is away from the Bourbon street craziness? I saw older threads that mentioned Maison Perrier, Magnolia Mansion, and La Maison Marigny. Do you have any recommendations? maybe in the garden district or do you have opinions on the ones I mentioned above. Any insight would be great!

Depends how far away you want to get from the "craziness." La Maison is on Bourbon but is a few blocks down so it's pretty quiet. maison Perrier and Magnolia are in the garden district/uptown areas so transportation is needed to/from the Qtr. Try tripadvisor.com reviews for more info!

Go to bedandbreakfast.com for descriptions, photos and locations of many New Orleans B&B's. The Garden District is a great neighborhood with lots of shopping and restaurants on Magazine St.

I really enjoyed a stay at La Maison Marigny last fall. Close enough to walk to the FQ, but away from the craziness. There are also some nice places just a couple of blocks away for food, drinks, music in the Marigny area. One place I liked alot was the Marigny Brasserie.

I'll add a second to La Maison Marigny and to the Marigny Brasserie. The brasserie has been my favorite ever since it first opened several years ago.

Brasserie is incredible! The original chef is back and his food is superb.

We stayed at B&W Courtyards in Feb. and loved it. The place is charming, beautifully decorated, off the beaten path yet in a fun neighborhood, and the two hosts are helpful and lively. B&W is in the Fauborg Marigny section, near some great jazz clubs and restaurants. Walking distance to the quarter.
