Hello everyone. It has been awhile since we could go anywhere as a family. Our kids are now 22 and 23. We’ll need to book either a larger room with 2 queens and a sofa bed or 2 rooms, one with 2 doubles or queens and 1 with a king. I’ve found a few well reviewed places but could use some feedback on locations or personal experiences with hotels. The older folks enjoy a cocktail , the younger ones not so much. We’re hoping for someplace interesting,( This won’t apply to some of the options.) but we all like our beauty sleep so no clubsthumping away until all hours. I know , we’re going to New Orleans. We’ll be there March 4-8.

Any standouts in there for anyone o concerns?

I've only stayed in one from your list and it was pre-covid so don't know the current situation. I stayed 4 nights at the Monteleone and really enjoyed it. The room was great, the bathroom was a bit small, but well appointed.

Thank you , janisj. Did you find it to be noisy at night? Our only concern about staying in the French quarter is its raucous reputation and we must get our winks in or were very cranky.😂

There was music in the Carousel Bar - but my room was quiet.

I would definitely get two rooms or a suite with two bathrooms. Four adults using one bathroom can take a lot of time in the morning.

A few years before Covid, we stayed at the Windsor Court at a negotiated/block rate (wedding). We were there well after Mardi Gras time, and I didn't notice any noise. Our evenings were occupied with
wedding events, so I can't really say what the neighborhood was like at night. The hotel is very nice.

From your list, Le Pavillon and The Roosevelt are solid choices with recent renovations. Maison de la Luz is charming, and I've heard good things about The Chloe. If you're into history, Hotel Monteleone has that old-world charm. For a trendy vibe, Eliza Jane is cool. Also, Virgin Hotels and Windsor Court are worth checking out. Hope you find the perfect spot for your family.

Thanks Steve and Jean. I think we’ve narrowed it to the Roosevelt and Windsor Court. As always my husband is leaning one way and I another. I’m sure we’ll sort it out. I appreciate the input and I’m sure we’ll love New Orleans and all it has to offer.
