New London area - lodging

Recommendations? We love quaint country inns, but yet with proximity to places we'd like to visit. I recently returned from a wonderful trip in Netherlands & Belgium and credit this website for assisting us in planning a perfect vacation!

Don't have specifics, but you may want to do a search for "Mystic" on this board. I've seen a number inns and B&Bs in Mystic, CT recommended on this site. It's only about ten miles from New London.

New London, Connecticut, or New London, New Hampshire?

Not exactly in New London, but the Inn at Sunapee is a very beautiful looking place, on a hill above lake Sunapee, and overlooking some nice NH countryside. It's about 20 minutes from New London.
