Need to get away...solo
I am buuuurned out!!! I live in Indianapolis and want to take a loong driving trip somewhere that i can stay for about 3- 4 days reasonably. 7 hours is about as far as i will travel. I want nice green scenery and relaxation. A cabin, something like that. Any thoughts? Just want to get away and enjoy my thoughts.

I'm guessing you mean you want to do this soon? So "green scenery" means you want to head south?
I'm asking because, obviously, there are places closer than a 7 hour drive where you could rent a cabin (state parks in Indiana and Illinois). But, this time of year, you wouldn't get much "green"!

I'm not sure whether this is what you're really looking for but here's a link:
http://www.stateparks.com/giant_city.html
It's for Giant City State Park in southern Illinois. They have cabins and a lodge with a restaurant. According to the web site, they should be open this time of year.
My best advice to you would be to repost with a title something like "Looking for a get away within 7 hours driving distance of Indianapolis". And, in your post, make it clear that you want to go now. A lot of places with cabins to rent might not be open this time of year.

Not sure if it's your thing, but Nashville is a pretty city and the natural areas on the out skirts of Nashville are beautiful as well (check out center hill lake area: http://www.centerhilllake.net/index.html The website isn't anything fancy, but it is a really pretty area) plus, the weather should be prettier than it is in Indy... just a thought... Enjoy your mini-vacation/getaway!
