Need Thanksgiving Dinner Suggestions for Scottsdale/Phoenix area

We recently bought a condo in Fountain Hills, AZ and will be taking our two teenage sons for their first visit at Thanksgiving.

We're all adventurous eaters and like all kinds of cuisine but I'm leaning toward a fairly traditional Thanksgiving meal in a great atmosphere. I haven't been to Lon's yet but thought that might fit the bill. Any suggestions?

For traditional fare, you and your sons might like the Landmark Restaurant in Mesa.

Any other suggestions? If I decide to stay in the immediate Fountain Hills area does anyone know of a place that stands out? Anyone tried Alchemy at Copperwynd?

You might check the four restaurants listed on www.epicurious.com for the Phoenix/Scottsdale area; I've never gone wrong with their suggestions.

Hello amwosu,
I see by your post you mentoned Lon's/Hermosa Inn. Have eaten there at Thanksgiving before. We were seated inside in one of their various rooms, but the patio was also open too. Nice southwestern ambiance. It was really crowded so if you plan on Lon's, be sure to make res well in advance.
Some other rest. to consider:
--Michael's at the Citadel.
--T. Cook's/Royal Palms Hotel
--Mary Elaine's/Phoenician Hotel (We like the buffets at Christmas time.)
--Vincent's on Camelback
Michael's is located up in the Pinnacle Peak area. Food rated tops, and it was.
Good luck, Francie

Never heard of Michael's. I like that it is in the Pinnacle Peak area. Not too far from Fountain Hills. Gonna check it out. Thanks.
