Ok, totally hijacking this thread:

ParrotMom - if you come back, did you ever end up the travel show you posted about in Boston - I am still curious how it was

Cigalechanta: I would love you to convince me to try Bistro Petite Robert - was the food and atmosphere great? We had a rather unusual and unfortunate first impression of the place with a major reservation screw up, so I am having trouble getting my husband to give it another shot and have never spoken with anyone who actually ate there - so if you come back, pls share !

Mimi - Do both locations have the same menu? I need to plan a late graduation lunch for family, but I'm not sure what type of food they will want. Devan loves Ciao Bella on Newbury Street, but I don't care much for it. Any tapas suggestions?

I like Dali's for Tapas.
We liked Toros but way too noisy.
Don't know if the Kenmore Robert and the south end menu are the same. (It was when the main one opened)

I think the last time we went to Dali's was with David.

Hi Parrotmom - we did in fact ask to speak to the manager at Ruth Chris after the waiter politely suggested that we do so. The manager took 30 minutes to come over to our table, chosing to set up the table next to ours before addressing us. Our experience went downhill from there - the manager had attitude up the yingyang and was simply bizarre in his comments - asking us if we ever saw the Devil Wears Prada and other such nonsense. It took forever for him to get our bill because he just wanted to keep restating the same nonsense over and over again. We attempted 3x to end the discussion and get our bill but he just kept babbling. And then after we finally pay (and tipping the waiter in full because we determined that it was management that was the source of the problem), they screwed up the valet service, bringing only 1 of 2 cars around.
