Around your hotel...
Continental is always fun, but only if you going with a few people. It's tapas-style, so it'll be difficult to dine there if solo.
Dmitri's - a little bit of a hike but worth your wait.

Django is also one of my favs

Chloe--yes! BYOB, cash only, no reservations.
And I've heard good things about Mandoline--BYOB, cash only, and they do take reservations.

Has anyone been to one of fork etc's Wednesday evening communal dinners? That might be fun for a solo diner...

Thanks for your thoughts on Mandoline. I guess we can rank it a bit lower on our list of places to try! (Osteria is at the top these days.)
Pizzicato is related to the one in the Promenade on Route 73 in Jersey? Their luncheon salads have been very, very good; haven't been there yet for dinner.

Dmitri's, above, has seafood and grilled veggies. Small and crowded.
For Italian, a short ride will take you to the Italian Market area and Ralph's at 760 S Ninth St. Also, Villa di Roma at 932 S Ninth. I think these are both cash only.
