Need hotel for only 1 night stay in Honolulu. Suggestions please
Our flight just got changed and we need a one nighter in Honolulu on a Thursday night in March. Any suggestions for good place to stay. We will be arriving at 7:00 p.m. and need to be back at the airport the next day by 12:30p.m. Also, will we have time to do a quick morning tour?

We are in the same boat. We are leaving tonight at 5:30pm arriving into Honolulu at 10:30pm out the next morning to catch our flight to the BI at 12:30. I managed to get a $55 rate through Priceline at the Radisson Prince Kuhio. Hope this helps.

Yes, I would also opt for Priceline, that way they pick the hotel and you don't have to agonize, LOL. I have bid $50 for a 3-star hotel 5-6 times and have always gotten it at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani. The Priceline rooms aren't that great, they are usually in the rear tower with no view. But for one night, it doesnt matter. The Sheraton PK is in a great location.

Be very careful about getting back to the airport with extra time. My husband and I allowed plenty (so we thought) had a traffic mix up that cost us half and hour, got there 45 minutes before departure and were denied boarding.
We had a 1:00 ish flight in the afternoon and were delayed until 9 p.m.

Roberts Hawaii (.com) has a tour of the Arizona Memorial and Honolulu downtown sights beginning, well, very early, and returning at "approximately" 11:15 a.m. If the gods are with you, you can return to the airport from the Waikiki area by 12:30.
We're in the same boat, so to speak, next fall, and are looking into this. Please let us know.
