shoot, I forgot two more ...

Bard College grounds, which includes Frank Gehry's Fisher Performing Arts Center (fishercenter.bard.edu/calendar/) check out the Spiegeltent ... and Bard has an incredible garden - follow signs at Bard to the Levy Economic Institute and park in their lot, walk across the field, and down some steps to a fantastic walled garden overlooking the Hudson - do it at sunset!

Also, Vassar College has Powerhouse Theatre (powerhouse.vassar.edu/season/), the Loeb Museum (fllac.vassar.edu/exhibitions/schedule.html), and some cool architecture throughout the campus.

Wow, these are great posts. How much can I do in one trip!? Truly, we will have to come back. I hope it is not too soggy for our trip this time around.

Is it imperative I book ahead? I'm still debating a move around approach or a home base travel back to...

Thanks

Oh and the tiny town of Woodstock is a fun visit(maybe because DW once lived there and I worked nearby in the Summer of 60) but..it's sweet.

Saugerties has a great flea market at which I have found wonderful vintage linens over the years.
