Need help with Cape Cod B&Bs

I am going to Cape Cod at the end of May and am considering switching my reservation to the Nantucket House B&B in Chatham. Has anyone heard of it? Any other suggestions for a nice B&B in the $100-150 range in this area? Thanks!

I had never heard of this B&B so I looked it up in the Chatham 2000 book put out by the chamber of commerce. Since it is on Main Street it sounds like a good location though I have never noticed it before- it is described as a romantic country inn. we are going to Chatham this weekend and I look for it. Chatham has a website www.chathamcapecod.org and the Chamber of Commerce is 1-800-715-5567 It is a great town to be in though can get congested so being within walking distance to downtown would be great for shopping and dining out. Have fun!

Hi- just got back from Chatham. I looked for Nantucket House B&B and finally saw it on the way home. It is not in downtown or near downtown. It is actually a few yards from Harwich. If you look on a map of Chatham you will see it is pretty big. I have no idea how nice of an Inn it is (it didn't look very big or fancy) but you may not love the location. But, on the flip side if you save a lot of money you may not care about driving. We stayed at a friend's home and they suggested the Cranberry Inn which is downtown or the Dolphin (which has a pool and is more of a motel yet looked nice). You will be able to walk to shops, restaurants and the lighthouse. Depends what you are looking for. Also, if eating in town the Squire has great "Cape" food yet eat in the pub side- it is less expensive and less of a wait. We ate at the Brewster Fish House in Brewster which was lovely. Price wise for Inn's you may find some in Brewster or Harwichport for less money than Chatham that are just as very nice.Hope this helps. Where were your original reservations? Good Luck!

I am very familiar with Chatham, and strongly recommend the Old Harbor Inn on Old Harbor Road, just north of the Congregational Church on Main St. The Inn is charming, well-decorated, and quiet, with a terrific location, but what really makes it special are the innkeepers, Judy and Ray Braz. Judy and Ray are warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. I have stayed at other Chatham B & Bs when the Old Harbor was booked up, and there is no comparison. Did I mention Judy bakes fabulous muffins?
