One other thing I meant to mention. I spoke with many people working at PCC. 72% of the employees are students at BYU and they each work 19 hours per week, this pays room/board/tuition for their schooling so I don't feel the majority of my money went to the Mormom Church. The percentage that might have gone to the chuch is ok anyway because I had a wonderful experience at PCC. They put alot of money into the place and the upkeep of the place and there really isn't anywhere else around to get that sort of experience on Oahu.
Thanks for listening to my opinions.

Thanks for the report back April!
We are going in April (the month
and I am trying to pick a show to see. The problem is we are staying in Waikiki and I would rather stay there for a show. We have a big time difference to adjust to and I doubt we will totally adjust to 6 hours.
Did you go to any shows in Waikiki? I am thinking of Royal Hawaiian, but their show gets bad reviews. Also, the show creations is another option. I don't care about getting authentic luau food because my girls will most likely not eat very much of it anyway. It is expensive since one is an adult and I would rather spend the money on a steak that she would eat. One of my daughters is also 13.. I know they would enjoy a show though. We are looking forward to our trip very much!

I like PCC's 'Horizons'. It is a fabulous show.
Did you also go to the Ali'i Luau?

Creation: A Polynesian Journey is a fantastic show. I rate it a notch or two behind 'Horizons'. They have the best dancers on the island. It is a production rather than a luau. The food there is so so. It is indoors at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel.
disclaimer: My daughter used to be one of the performers in Creations and I know many of the cast.
Another good choice is John Hirokawa's Magic of Polynesia in the Beachcomber.
Many of the Waikiki shows have "cocktail" shows. It is the same show, but without the meal and you are seated in the back. It comes with one drink. The big advantage to this is tickets are much less.
If you have an Entertainment Book, there are several coupons for luaus, Waikiki shows.

AprilA: Yes, thanks for letting us know that you DID enjoy PCC!
girlonthego: I believe it was Dusty who made this suggestion on another post: Leave PCC to go eat dinner during the luau time and then return for the Horizon's show (if you want to avoid the luau food). That sounds like a good idea in this case! I believe your girls would enjoy PCC!
