I will be at the Sheraton Airport Hotel in Dania (Fort Lauderdale area) for business. We are planning to add a few nights onto our trip. Should we stay at this hotel and rent a car to get to beach, golf, restaurants or book in a different location? We'd like to stay in Fort Lauderdale or somewhere pretty close.Thanks!

I think you shd head for the beach! Try either The Marriott Harbour Beach or Lago Mar in Ft L. Both are right on the beach.

The water will be too cold for swimming although you're likely to see a few die-hards thrashing around. The beach will be nice for walking and shelling. Winters in Florida are crisp and clear, with very little rain.

Another vote for Marriott Harbor Beach or Lago Mar. Have stayed at both and loved them!
