We have 4 children, ages 10, 14, 17, and 20 and would love to find a vacation spot where we could all enjoy.
We loves beaches and warmer climate, because we are from northern Canada.
Any suggestions of a fun for all family type vacation for us to book this spring would be appreciated.

I live in the Myrtle Beach area, and we get a lot of folks visiting from Canada. Myrtle Beach has its positives & negatives (many of which have been explored on this site), but it is a great place for families. Lots of attractions for kids of all ages, and I think it has one other overlooked asset: a beautiful, wide flat beach.

Myrtle Beach is highly developed, but a little less so north & south of Myrtle Beach--such as North Myrtle Beach (where I live) or Litchfield Resort to the south. A great place to stay is Kingston Plantation, between MB and North MB.

One other plus if you're coming in the Spring, you'll basically have the area to yourself. MB has a well-defined tourist season, basically June through August. Be careful in May, as there are several motorcycle rallies that bring in lots of crowds & noise.

Kiawah, SC (although less here for the kids to do)
Charleston, SC & its beaches (e.g., Wild Dunes)

Laurie, you need to help us out a bit. What is you budget? When do you want to travel? Being from Northern Canada, just about any place is warmer in the lower 48. Inexpensive? Go to the NC/SC/GA beaches. Moderate? Go further south to Florida. Expensive? Go to the islands.

Yes, I guess I should have been more specific.
I guess you could call our budget moderate...I don't want to spend $10,000 for a 7-10 day vacation. I'd say $5,000 and under would be more realitic.
I am just looking for recommendations from perhaps other families who've been to say...Greatplace resort in Florida...or some type of all inclusive spot.
We also have to consider the exchange rate, which for us is about 64% on our dollar higher...so every $1.00 we spend in our currency is actually costing us $1.64 in yours.
Anyway, just looking for idea's and appreciate any recommendations.

Laurie, I would suggest renting a house on one of the South Florida Beaches. Since June, July and August is the off season for South Florida Beaches I would suggest heading there. If you are driving down, you can stop for the night at one of the mid Atlantic Beaches (Maryland, Delaware). Also, renting a house will allow you all to eat in rather than eating every meal out. To save more money, go for the condo instead of a house.

You might want to consider a houseboat vacation. The summer months offers Lake Powell to the Northwest, Lake Cumberland in Ky and Dale Hollow on the border of Tenn and Ky. Houseboats can be very nice with up to 6 bedrooms and double decked with slide. We have done this as a family of 10 and enjoyed it a lot.

Rent a condo on the Big Island. Volcanoes, cowboys, Old Hawaii ruins, black sand beaches, malasadas (something yummy to eat), waterfalls, observatories, shave ice....

How about Tucson, Arizona? Spring is a lovely time to visit.
