Sorry, I didn't make it clear that I am seeking a book not a personal guide.

Fodor's guide for New Mexico is very good.

When I'm planning a trip, I check out guide books from the Seattle Public Library and purchase the one that best suits my needs or I go to the UW bookstore and compare the Fodor's, Frommer, and Lonely Planet guides. I usually go with Fodor's unless I want information about lots of small towns (as in Spain), and then I go for Lonely Planet.

Fodor's guide is good, and I'm not just saying it because I'm posting here.

As DebitNM said, any of us who live here will be happy to help you with ideas and questions.
