Neat historic maritime radio site in Point Reyes

On recent trip to Marin County we had very interesting visit at KPH Maritime Radio Receiving Station at the Cypress Tree Tunnel.
Most people were walking under the cypress trees to take photos, but if you continue to the white building on Saturday afternoon, a group of volunteers, the Maritime Radio Historical Society, offer tours and explain the history of the site from Marconi through commercial ship to shore Morse code transmission to decommissioning and park acquisition. They keep the radio station operating and this piece of history alive. Definitely worth the time for history buffs.
