Natural History Museum

Has anyone seen the IMAX presentation of "Into the Deep?" What did you think?
I'm looking for something to do Sat. night with my Mom. Thanks.

Yes, I have seen that showing and it's pretty good. I think that other one about natural disasters is even better. How is this travel related?? What history museum are you talking about?

The Museum of Natural History in NYC has an IMAX theatre and has several movies that they show. The museum is wonderful and the exhibits are very interesting.

There is another IMAX theatre at the Loews Lincoln Center on Broadway at 69th St. Not sure what movie is playing there now, but they were showing the new Cameron movie, "Aliens of the Deep".

Hope this helps.

There are museums, aquariums, etc., all over the country that have IMAX screens; here in the Boston area there are furniture stores that have them!

"Into the Deep" is currently showing in three cities (NYC is not one of them): Why not try a new thread with a header about the real topic -- Have you seen IMAX "Into the Deep"?

The original poster is interested in the IMAX at the Museum of Natural History in DC, where they will be visiting this weekend...I know this as I repsonded to an earlier post...

As someone who is relatively new to these boards it seems that some posters are pretty rough in terms of where and how things are posted...little kindness goes a long way, esp with those that aren't familiar with the forums...

eriberri, I'm well aware of where laurelee is going, having responded to some of her DC post myself. She has been posting here for at least 6 months, and should realize that (as wantsomesun's posts attests) headers need to relate to the message content on this board as elsewhere throughout the internet. My suggestion ("Why not try . . . ") was certainly intended at helping her rather than ridiculing.

Oh, okay that makes sense...Apologies, I must have misinterpreted being new myself. Again a case of miscommunication of tone through email/message boards...it just seems that sometimes people get testy...

I saw "Into the Deep" with my 10 yr. old granddaughter a couple of weeks ago. We enjoyed it and it was a welcome break from monuments and museums. The 3-D is fun.

Okay-sorry! I just got in a hurry getting ready to depart for this trip.
Yes, I was talking about DC-pretty harsh treatment though.

Has anybody seen "aliens of the deep"? Showing at the San Francisco IMAX. Is it good? For what age?

By the way, a great 3-D movie is now at Luxor, Las Vegas "Sharks" not only about sharks, about all underwater world, and it's shot by Jaque Causteau (sp?), famous french diver.
