College football, of course - the only sport that matters

Well Bob, you already know that college BB is the only game that counts where you come from and when Louisville loses the football game you'll eee the light once again.

Nigator - you'll have to excuse us...it's Friday night and this board has to fool around a little before getting down to business.

Hey...Dukey....no dissing the Cards!! We are 8-0 and just stomped WVirginia. OK...they did fumble a bit, but that's cause we scared them. Agree that basketball is the bigger draw statewide but that's because all the UK fans in the state are so embarrassed by the crappy UK team which can barely beat a womens' team. I've never been much of a football fan, but Petrino has made believers out of everyone, even with injuries to his top players!

I humbly apologize to the University of Ky (my husband's alma mater, lol) They looked great against Georgia yesterday. As my husband says..."great that we won, but that means that Brooks stays on." (Anyway Dukey...are you a Duke fan?) Please note that my team you are dissing just moved to #3 in the AP poll. This is the highest rating we've ever had in the school's history, so we'll take it, thank you!!

i'll try to be responsive to your question. Unfortunately, I don't think the area around the stadium is much built up. There are a lot of things in the planning stages with both the stadium and hockey arena right next to each other, but not much is up and running now.
Tempe and Scottsdale are still your best bets. As long as you have a car and head out early enough, driving should not be a problem

Hey njgator, are you still planning on going? I just got my flights. I'm going to start researching possible things to do- Buckeye parties, pep rallies, etc.

Go Bucks!

Time for the Yuckeyes to play a team from a real conference. Just kidding (sorta). Should be a great game.

Hey amwosu! Got home today, DH told me he had "spent some money". Got tix for us and for DS and DDIL (who are Gators) to go to the game!

Of course, now I get to find flights and hotel. Will probably have to go thru Las Vegas at this late date. Any hotel recommendations?

GO BUCKS!!

Go Gators!
My husband and I have yet to take our honeymoon (got married in Oct). I called him Sat night and said, "honey, how about Glendale, AZ." No dice but I am very excited to see my alma mater back in the championship game!
