Naples, Florida - Hotels
I am still undecided as to where to stay in Naples; end of Nov thru beginning of Dec.
I have reservations at the Ritz Beach on the club level but am having 2nd thoughts...650/night, plus dinner.
By looking at the forecast the temps in Naples are 84 for Nov & 79 in Dec, will we really be spending time on the beach ?
I am considering the Ritz golf for about 1/2 the price or the Edgewater...
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the Ritz golf has a free shuttle back and forth to the beach club so you could hit the beach if you wanted to.
Have you tried www.vrbo.com to maybe rent a condo?

I was in a wedding at La Playa Beach & Golf Resort 3 years ago and loved it. It was elegant but not stuffy at all. We had the special wedding rate though, so I'm not sure what normal prices are like.

We stayed at LaPlaya a couple years ago (in the Beach House rooms) and I would absolutely recommend the hotel -- very nice with beautiful grounds. They also have a great beach-side dining restaurant. We loved it there and will definitely be going back.

I don't understand if you think those temps are too hot for the beach or too cold?? It sounds just about as perfect as it can get to me.
To me, being in FL is all about the water, whether I'm walking the beach or look/listening to it from my room. Even further north in FL in January or February, just being there and looking out over the water is wonderful. It can't be beaten. Inland is just that--pretty because it's Naples, but missing that critical FL ingredient.
$650 a night is a bundle but it is a beautiful property, and one of the few 5* hotels in FL. You would cut your room rate considerably just by moving off the club level.
