Have you done any research, like doing a search here?
We need to know what you're looking for -- a place on the beach or where the bars and restaurants are? Want to spend $500 a night (easy) or less?
What kind of restaurant are you looking for and again, how much do you want to pay. I don't know whether to recommend MacDonald's or the Ritz unless you tell us a whole lot more.

Hmmm - good point Patrick. I would say I would like a boutique-y, charming hotel in the $350 range. I don't care if it's on the beach or in the bar/restaurant area. For restaurants, we like nice places, but are also looking for local flavor. Fun and festive! Good food and good atmosphere are more important than price. Thanks!

...and to answer your other question, if you stay downtown, you are far away, both due to the route and the traffic, from Cape Coral. (Why do you want to go there? Other than to see someone you know who lives there, I can't think of even one reason to leave Naples to go there.) Have a nice trip!
