Napa Valley in mid December
My husband and I are thinking of a return visit to Napa Valley in mid December of 2002. (We were there in 1997) Anyone been to Napa in December? What did you think? What can we expect weather wise and will most restaurants be open, say, December 15 - 22?
Any info on Napa in December will be appreciated.

Hard to say. Sometimes it rains in December sometimes it does not. I have spent many Christmases in Calistoga and it was open for business. I enjoy traveling in the fall/winter. The vines will be bare, but it is always pretty and St. Helena is pretty all year. Try Sonoma too.

If we have a rainstorm it will be dreary, chilly (40's) and wet. I recommend the hot mud baths etc in Calistoga in that case. Otherwise, it could be lovely, sunny, high 60's. Best to be prepared for almost anything. Winter is quite unpredictable here.
But it almost certainly won't snow!
