Napa/Sonoma with girlfriends
just stasrting to plan... we are going over memorial weekend next year..
where to stay? i'm worried traffic will be crazy in napa that weekend.. is sonoma a better choice.
would like a nice place..at a reasonable price (150) that is close to wineries since we are only there for 3 days..
any recommendations would be appreciated! thanks!

aimee, On some of the Memorial/Labor Days we've been there traffic has been killer in both valleys. Get a good map and you can plan some "shortcuts" around the obvious traffic snarls. Like Silverado Trail and using some of the "Crossing" roads and then some of the side streets around Sonoma Town Sq area.
Good luck and have fun!

aimee,
Four of us sister went to Sonoma this past February and stayed in the Lodge at Sonoma, a Marriott property. We stayed in a cottage room which was a good size with 2 queen beds. Our cottage was one of the few 1 story buildings and was just outside the pool and jacuzzis. They provide the robes! There is also Raindance Spa on site if you want to do treatments. I would recommend this place. I think we paid 179 or 189 per night on the weekend. We stayed in building A. The Lodge is right down the street from the center of town and near some good restaurants. Cafe La Haye, Della Santina, General's Daughter. We had a really great lunch at a cafe right on the square called Bella Luna, I think.
Good Luck it is very hard to find places that have 2 beds iun the room as you have found. The area really caters to couples.
