Napa 'Girls' Vacation

Four of us are planning a 'girls' vacation out in Napa and hear that Vallejo or Concord offer close accomodations at non-Napa prices. What about the Best Western Marine World at Vallejo or Comfort Inn at Concord?

I wonder who told you that. I guess they're close, but you'll be doing yourself a great disservice if you stay that far away from Napa just to save a few bucks. There are less expensive places in the Napa Valley, like White Sulphur Springs resort in St. Helena.

Do not stay in Concord or Vallejo. That
is NOT the wine country. You might as
well not even come. I'm sure you can
find something in your price range in
the Napa area.

A lot of people have been having luck getting the Napa Valley Marriott for the
$50 to $75 per night through Priceline.com. Split amongst 4 people still pretty cheap and you're in the valley. While it's not a quaint little Inn, it's much closer to everything.
I totally agree with Jennifer. Concord would be like staying in a Philadelphia suburb to go to Manhattan!

How about Calistoga? They have some affordable, if not simple hotels, some with spa activity. Have fun - but try to stay out of Vallejo / Concord - not very scenic and you won't feel like you're on vacation.

Another "no" to Vallejo and Concord. Whoever told you that???? Try El Bonita Motel and the St. Helena Hotel, both in St. Helena. Or, there's an old hotel in Calistoga--is it the Calistoga Inn? There are also affordable places in the city of Napa. Go to www.napavalley.com

girls....you might consider a few days in Sonoma, too. Healdsburg is a great town.I saw a decent Comfort Inn there that was close to the expressway and convenient.
If you like good shopping, St Helena is better and has more to do than Calistoga.
