I wonder who told you that. I guess they're close, but you'll be doing yourself a great disservice if you stay that far away from Napa just to save a few bucks. There are less expensive places in the Napa Valley, like White Sulphur Springs resort in St. Helena.

A lot of people have been having luck getting the Napa Valley Marriott for the
$50 to $75 per night through Priceline.com. Split amongst 4 people still pretty cheap and you're in the valley. While it's not a quaint little Inn, it's much closer to everything.
I totally agree with Jennifer. Concord would be like staying in a Philadelphia suburb to go to Manhattan!

Another "no" to Vallejo and Concord. Whoever told you that???? Try El Bonita Motel and the St. Helena Hotel, both in St. Helena. Or, there's an old hotel in Calistoga--is it the Calistoga Inn? There are also affordable places in the city of Napa. Go to www.napavalley.com
