Napa & Sanoma Temps in August

I'm planning to visit the wine country in August. What are the days & nights like? Thanks!

Not to be sarcastic, but no one knows what the weather is going to be like from month to month. Thus the term "weather guesser."

Go to weather.com and you can find the overage/mean/high/low for whatever month, wherever you are going.

Who the hell would have ever guessed that New Jersey would have had 20 out of 30 days of rain during the month of June??

Been to Europe one year in June -- hot as hell. Another year, cold as ice. It's a crap shoot.

Weather.com says average high of 90, low of 52. I like my beer at 38 and my red wine at 60.

That's odd, B'man.
I like my beer at noon and red wine at 5:00!

We've been to NV in August for the The Tour of Napa Valley (great bike tour BTW) many times and don't recall a very hot day...."BUT", ya never know.
Like 97 degrees in SF last Thursday!
Who'da thunk it?!

It still cools off a bit at night.

Almost forgot - I have been to several evening parties at the Beringer Winery. One year it was so cold, everyone left by 9 pm, the next year, it was perfect!!!

Thanks guys, I think we're going for it. It has to be better than this Texas heat. I'll just keep my fingers crossed for good weather.

Kal -- Good one!!!!

slg50 -- no matter what the weather, there's always A/C. Go for it!!!

If you have a choice between Napa and Sonoma, do Sonoma. Go to www.wineroad.com. There's some great information at that site. Also do a text search on grasshopper and PamSF. They've provided great info. Enjoy!!

Don't let the heat put you off. It is beautiful any time of year. Plus our heat is a dry heat, not much humidity. The wineries have A/C as do hotels.

Thx B'man.

Also agree with your a/c comment.

slg, "Texas heat"??? I thought that was ground jalapeno peppers!
If you can survive Houston's or San Ant's heat and humm-diddity you can take on the hottest day in NV/SV.
