Thanks for replies, I really don't know how it got so heated because, like beanweb24, when we went 3 yrs ago, it was just us and it was beautiful. A young woman walked up with her little girl and she was lovely - there were no other people there (and certainly not 100 cars). My original entry just mentioned that I noted on the internet that there was kapu signs - there was nothing there when we were there 3 yrs. ago, so it's really got people expressing their opinions anyway!

I think I said upthread that no one here seems really angry.
Some wonderful discussions and opinions and a lot of aloha is what I've witnessed. As far as hidden hawaii, if you bring aloha and respect, you will find aloha and respect in most instances. Just don't try catching a wave at Pipeline without knowing the rules!!!
