Can anyone recommend family restaurants in North Myrtle Beach & Myrtle Beach?

Myrtle has really gone buffet. I can't stand them myself so our biggest problem was finding a nice place where you could be served.

We like T Bones, The Crab Trap and Garcias all have pretty good food. Garcias depends on what you order, the nachos weren't good, but everything else was. Rossi's is good for Italian, but a bit pricey. MB is such a family destination that you will not have a problem taking the kids to 99% of the restaurants.

(All the places I mentioned were in North Myrtle.)

Drive up 17 to Little River & try the Parsons Table. It will be on your right just prior to entering NC. Call for reservations 843-249-3702.

Take a drive south to Murrells Inlet. They have the best seafood in the area and the restaurants (most of them) are family owned. My all time favorite is Lee's Inlet Kitchen. You won't regret the longer drive. Myrtle Beach restaurants are almost always chains that you would see at home.

Joe's Crab Shack is always fun and for budget prices there is an International House of Pancakes for breakfast, lunch or dinner (N. Myrtle Beach).

Favorite restaurant: Captain George's at Broadway at the Beach.

We had a surprisingly good (family) meal at Preston's Family Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach.

We went last summer and had lots of people recommend Carolina Roadhouse. It was well worth it - great selection of sandwiches, dinners, ribs, etc. Atmosphere was great and it was reasonably priced. I think it's in Myrtle on 17 but i can't remember a cross street...

Drive up 17 to Calabash--just across the NC state line. There you'll find many good, locally owned and operated seafood restaurants. I know because I grew up in that area!

Rossi's, Collectors Cafe, Flamingo Grill, Chesnut Hill, Thoroughbreds, Sam Sneads, Bovine's, Divine Fish House, Russell's, Landolfi's, Louis's, Frank's.

Liberty Steak House and BrewPub at Broadway at the Beach. They have their own micro brews (I love the oatmeal stout), and my wife says the best onion rings she has ever had. They are huge!!

Captain John's in Calabash, NC is very good! Bit of a drive if you are staying in Myrtle Beach and not N. Myrtle Beach.

We have eaten at the Outrigger in North Myrtlr beach many times aand like the food and prices.

It is tradition to always drive up to Calabash in NC for dinner several times while we are there. Our favorite is Coleman's, but others in the family like the Docksides or Docksiders....the neighbors we usually go out with like Etta's and Beck's, so you really can't go wrong with any of the Calabash restaurants....At Ocean Drive on Main Street is a restaurant we love for weekday or Sunday lunch called Hoskins- their desserts are to LIVE for!! Enjoy your stay.
