Myrtle Beach Bypass

After the Labor Day traffic I want to share SC's best kept secret- The Conway Bypass a.k.a. SC 22. Unless you are headed for South Myrtle, the bypass is the best way to travel. It is a four-lane divided highway laid out like an interstate. Even with the holiday traffic there was no congestion. I wish I could have said the same thing about 501! Come to SC. Spend money and by lottery tickets and take the bypass.

The Conway Bypass runs from Aynor, west of Conway to North Myrtle Beach.

The Carolina Bays Parkway runs from Highway 9 in Little River, which is the NC/SC state line to Highway 544 in Surfside.

Both are Six lane controlled access highways.

GoT,

not to quibble, but Hwy 22 is mostly 4 lanes. But maybe now I understand how you get from Charleston to MB so quickly; you consider the shoulder a locals-only high speed passing lane!

Well isn't it?

I stand corrected, SC 31 is six lanes and SC 22 is four.

If Go Travel speeds between Charleston and Georgetown she is flirting with a ticket!! But it is SO tempting--4 lanes of deserted road.
