Myrtle Beach 3 nights early May - 2 bedroom condo

We'd like to go for 3 nights the first weekend in May to Myrtle Beach and stay in a really nice, ocean front condo that is fairly new and nicely decorated. We like the North Myrtle Beach area not too far from Barefoot Landing. Any suggestions. We'd like 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms.

I'd like to make a reservation soon, but as it's been a few years since we've been "off-season", I don't know where to start. We are 2 couples in our late 50s.

Thanks everyone.

The Marriott vacation club is great, but pricey.

Our usual strategy to find something new is to look at the chambers "Stay and Play" book. We have also called the Chamber to find out what new additions have been added. We have stayed at nice new resorts that were not full, because they had just openned.

The chamber's website is:http://www.mbchamber.com/

I have also had great look with www.vrbo.com, but most places there rent by the week. If you do find a place you like and they are not booked, make an offer. We have stayed in a $300 a night 3 bedroom ocean front condo in July for $1,000 a week, but we booked three weeks before we traveled and the owner was getting nervous about not renting.

May isn't really off season.

Try Ocean Creek Resort
Kingston Plantation
Beach Cove
Sea Watch Resort
Marriott Grande Dunes

I just booked the Beach Cove - I read reviews, both good and bad. I hope we made the right choice. We will have a 2-bedroom condo.

Has this resort, although older, been kept up nicely? The location sounds great.

Thanks all, Lois

The Beach Cove is very nice. Call back and tell them you would like to be in the new section. Have them note this on your reservation.

Lovely resort in a great location.
