I am looking for a resort for 3 families, 6 adults and four children from ages 1-6 total. It is for August 21-24 (not a week) and preferably on Cape Cod although the Berkshires is fine, or something even within a 3 hour drive. I was hoping to find something like the places on the Caribbean where we can be together or apart throughout the day and I won't have to do any of the work for meals (which is why I am reluctant to rent a house unless someone knows of one that is just too terrific to pass up).

The Wequassett Resort and Golf Club is in Harwich, MA. Gorgeous and pricey. www.wequassett.com Also Chatham Bars Inn www.chathambarsinn.com.. Might be even pricier. What is your budget?
