Mother Teresa needs a vacation!

I've been good. I've been very, very good---but two years working without a vacation is too much to ask. There's some truth to "You don't use it, you lose it." My vacation planning node is fried and dried up crispy.

I have two weeks, no budget limits and the only requirement is that it not be water or beach (I live on the water). Being MT pays well! What have your favorite relaxing vacations been? What would you do?

Thank you in advance (...and God bless!)

No budget limit?

I'd spend two weeks in Las Vegas!

Domestic or international? What month?

The general idea is: if you have water at home, think mountains.

When is your two week window? If winter weeks do you like snow? Is this for one traveler?

WOW! Thanks on behalf of my fried crispy brain. I love cities, ski well (love mountains) and went to Vegas on business last December. The Wynn is remarkable---for it's prices, cigarette smoke and very pregnant cocktail waitresses . Hmmm... Mother Teresa at the craps table....

Just me, last vacation was at Whistler/Blackcomb and I don't think I can top it. I have my own business and can pretty much leave at any time now that I finally have coverage.
I feel that vacation node starting to stretch

Why don't you do a 14 day tour of midwest convents. You could visit Tulsa, Kansas City, Amarillo, Little Rock and Cedar Rapids.

2 weeks anywhere?

I would definately go international and have cafe au lait with a view of the siene (sp?) or go for a week to Hawaii and get a nice pampering resort package

or thailand and get a massage and pampering and meditation type deal

or India and do tons of yoga and do a health cleanse

or....or....or...

the list is endless....but with two weeks I would definately go international

Ah, retail therapy is a bit like eating a 10 pound box of good chocolate. What fun, but the nausea afterwards just ain't worth it.

Anyone know a ski/spa/city resort???? Lake Louise? I lived in Germany for 5 years think I want to keep the flight under 4-6 hours from BWI.

Think southwest, Taos, Santa Fe, history, culture, art, scenery, archeological sites, food?

Since you don't care about being on the water, and you like cities, and your budget is unlimited, go where the cities are. In two weeks you can easily visit, say, three or four European cities -- London, Paris, Stockholm, Barcelona.

Or go to Australia and see Sydney, Melbourne, Uluru and the Olgas (I left out their many fine watery places, naturally).

Or prowl around Tuscany for two weeks -- a mix of country, town and city.

First post, at least with the nick of crabbydeb, lol.

A fun troll!

I am sure that Mother Teresa would want you to go to India and devote your two weeks doing volunteer work.

Lurker would be a better title. Just haven't had anything to stick my neck out about. Troll indeed!

Taos and Alaska both sound fine. I know nothing about skiing or anything other than cruises in Alaska.
