Who could vacation in Vegas every year?
I love going to Vegas and I'm not a big gambler. We enjoy the shows, hotels, people watching, food. Just curious if there are any other Vegas fans out there who could vacation to Vegas each year?

We are in Las Vegas twice a year for the most part. I could go out 4x's a year if money and time allowed. We aren't big gamblers but we love the scenery and restaurants and most of all the weather.
So much better than this snow in Ohio!

If you are talking about an annual stay of a few days, sure. But if you're suggesting giving up maybe the entire allotted two or three weeks vacation every year ignoring all the wonderful places to see and visit in the world and just sticking to Las Vegas, I find that very sad.

Patrick- Your choice of the word "sad" is bringing a smile to my face. That's one word I have never used while in Las Vegas or even when thinking about it. However, I do understand what you're saying. I would never only go to Las Vegas as there are other places in the world to explore as you point out.

Patrick - AMEN! Although... I could see multiple trips to Vegas after you've experienced all of these places: http://www.fodors.com/miniguides/

I've been to Vegas once and would love to go back. I'm no gambler and limited myself to the quarter slots - but I had a great time. The restaurants and shopping are incredible. I'd love to return annually if my budget could stand it. Ironically, while I lived in Hawaii I learned Vegas was a prime 'vacation' destination for the residents of paradise. Many of my Hawaiian friends went there every year for... well, I guess a break from the islands. That was just too funny to me! So I guess Vegas is, in it's own way, an alternate paradise.

I agree that once was enough. Had an ok time, but way too much concrete for me. I do return to certain places every year, Key West and New Orleans in the States, and Belize has become a favorite, and will be at least a once a year trip for the near future.

We never go anywhere for vacation BUT Vegas and Disney. We get to see the world's major tourist sites like Venice, the Eiffel Tower, Rome, and Egypt without needing to leave America. I don't want to give my money to foreigners and I don't have to worry about offending someone because they can't speak English.
We go to Disney and Epcot when we want a little diversity in our travels. They've got Mexico, China, you name.
The love to experience culture, I just want to make sure I never give my money to some foreign guy!

WOW! I am so surprised by all the views on Vegas. I lived there for 20 years and I guess the magic is gone for me. I think a trip there once a year for a few days is nice, all i do is shop I do not gamble or drink. But the shopping is great. I ams surprised by the people who do spend all their vacation time there. It is "Sad" like Patrick said. Also when those conventions come in it is really bad. My frined was a valet parker and man he made bank telling guys where the strip clubs were etc. It is so sick. He said the guys were desperate and sad. I have been blessed to travel abroad and let me tell you the Paris hotel is nothing like Paris. Spend a few days but all your yearly vacation time-no way the world is way to big!

I guess the dissenting voice will be me. I just didn't get Las Vegas. I live between NYC and Philly so there is always someting to go, see, or do. I found LV to be trashy. Sorry, just my opinion. The stench of smoke is apalling. You would think given the shows and atmosphere that LV was the place sex was discovered. But since apparently the town is growing by leaps and bounds I have no clue what's going on. You people have fun going there every year and I'll continue to visit the world and we'll all be happy. Here's to differing opinions.

Don't get me wrong, I've traveled other places. I also love Hawaii. But I also love going to Vegas. I usually enjoy staying 4 days. Unable to listen to those slot machines/noise no longer. I think 4 days is just perfect for a nice Vegas Vacation.

Wow. What I find a bit sad is that anyone would think that seeing the casino Paris or New York is anything at all like seeing the real thing. I'm not trying to start anything, but I do not get Vegas, either. To me, the only reason to go to Vegas every year is to go see all the amazing scenery around there - Zion, Grand Canyon, etc. Just MHO.

We go every year and have been for the past 20 years. Have family that moved there and plan on buying a home there also in the next year or so when we retire. We usually start in Vegas for 3 days then take off to California, Arizona, Utah, you name it we'll do it. We also love it there and I'm sad when we have to leave and wish we could do it more than once a year.
