Most romantic accomodation in Florida Keys

What is the most romantic accomodation in Florida Keys? My husband and I are going to be traveling in mid October. We have no children.

We looked at Palm Island, loved it, did NOT love the prices. We are unwilling to spend $800 a night for accomodations only. Are there any other off islands off the Keys like Little Palm ISland?

Any other luxurious accomodations that perhaps have a waterfall in the swimming pool? Thanks

I just checked out little Palm Island and I got different rates. Call them directly and ask. Something close to 800 should include some meal plan.

No, it doesn't include dinner.

It truly is that much money. It lookss wonderful, but for that price, we could almost take a 7 day cruise WITH food.

Don't get me wrong, I am NOT cheap, I don't mind paying $$'s for vacation, but $800 is a bit steep.

I would get a Ocean Front wrap around King Suite at the Marriott in Aruba for $300.00 a night including breakfast for two people.

Here is a package I found with a quick search. I agree, you need to call them direct. It is a beautiful place. Nothing else like it. It is one of the top places in the world. If it is still a little more than you can chew consider the Moorings.

Look into the Marquesa Hotel and the Heron House in Key West. I've never stayed either place but they both get rave reviews.

I just checked out the package that abc recommended and it is $1895 plus tax for two nights. It does include food, but still is very, very pricey.
I say stay at the Moorings in Islamorada or at one of the better B&B's in Key West, The Marquesa, Heron House, The Gardens. Then go to Little Palm Island for dinner one night. It is a wonderful and romantic location for dinner, and the food is to die for. Have fun whatever you decide to do.

The Heron House in Key West is extremely nice. Customer Service was top-notch as well. It is approximately 2 blocks from Duval Street but you don't get the traffic.

The Heron House and The Marquesa Hotel are very nice but are not even close when it comes to Little Palm Island. If you can afford LPI stay there but if you can't don't try comparing anything to it. There is nothing like it.

Sunset Key is another option - small private island off Key West. Combo of private houses and the Sunset Key guest cottages run by Hilton. We stayed there & loved it. Cottages are very pretty & luxurious, terrific restaurant on the sand, and in October the room rates are about half that of Little Palm. Boat ride is 5-10 minutes from Key West. They even have a small private beach with attendants, and it's private for guests (day trippers only, till 4 p.m.).

I prefer the Gardens. Low key; very romantic; attentive staff; good location; lovely rooms, garden and pool. I've stayed at some of the others, and I keep going back to the Gardens. The main problem with Little Palm (assuming price is noo concern), is that it's TOO isolated and laid back. I think it's great to stay there 1-2 nights, but after that it gets a little old. (But it is VERY nice there.)

Second the Gardens Hotel... they have two extras that the Marquesa is missing... a cash bar at the pool... and pool floats... what more can you ask for?
