Traveller 333, that's a toughie! What was the date of the tickets you had for Urban Cowboy? If it's far enough away, I think it's a safe bet that the show will be closed by then!
In any event, I don't think one of the regular Telecharge agents on the phone could answer. That would be a waste of time, However, you might call and ask for a supervisor. He/she might or might not be able to answer, butit's worth a try! I don't mean to sound flip, but you might just have wait and hope that it closes down before the date of your performance.

I'm OK!! I called and this time it is all documented by a supervisor that my tickets for May 10 are "in the mail" and they will credit my AmEx. Now I just hope something like this doesn't happen to Gypsy!! We have tickets for this as well! Keeping my fingers crossed!

According to the Charlotte Observer, Miracle Worker with Hillary Swank closed Sunday 3/30/03 after previews in Charlotte. The play sold out its 3-week run in Charlotte, but the powers that be decided it needed more work before opening on Broadway.

Traveller 333, glad to hear that your problem had a happy conclusion. (By the way, I think you were fairly safe with the May 10 date, as I think only a miracle would keep Urban Cowboy running that long.)
NCgirl, this morning's NY Times article hinted that a weak advance sale in NY also influenced the decision not to bring The Miracle Worker to New York now.
