alya,
You're cordially invited to all of our outdoor parties. Would you mind just standing way over there in the corner?

Hey!

Don't think I haven't thought of 'renting' my self out!

I've been to parties where I'm the only one who got 'chomped', the bites swell and take a couple of days to go down - if I don't scratch them.

If I do scratch them, you can play 'join the dots' on my legs.

Wow, a party game!

alya,
You're just a little party-girl, aren't you!

Hey, how do I get those little happy face things everyone uses? I want to have fun with the big kids!

Marion - the Ruby slippers were stolen from Grand Rapids Minnesota and are still missing. I saw them this summer and they were quite beautiful and in pristine condition.

coming back to your quiestion on mosquitos in late august, well we just came back this week from Alaska and we did not see a mosquito at all in the whole 2 weeks. They have all gone !!
By the other side we found many and terrible wasps in hot days in Talkeetna (one bite me) and near Kenai City, where another one bite my wife !!

non-Alaska mosquitos:

My kid is allergic to DEET. Can't wear it at all. We are moving in the Spring to Pennsylvania (mid-state). I haven't lived or been on the east coast since the 1960s, when I lived in Jersey. I remember being eaten alive by mosquitos as a kid. Is it as bad in PA? Any recommendations for non-DEET products (we tried the Avon route, didn't work). Thanks.

Hi Nannersone, check with your local pharmacy reqarding NonDeet products. I have read and then heard on our news some weeks ago there is a new product that consist of eucalyptist/lemon oil that has been found to be even better then Deet and has nothing in it to bother anyone. If memory serves me right it should be on the market right now or in a week or so.
