Monte Carlo, Luxor or Mandalay?
Comments, please - staying at Las Vegas 4 nights mid-March - Monte Carlo is total $50 more than Luxor, Mandalay $200 more total. Are they all about equal as far as rooms, restaurants, grounds, etc.? Would we get better tickets to Blue Man Group staying at Luxor, or doesn't it matter? Any good seafood or ethnic restaurants to recommend?
Thanks! PS: first message didn't post.

I just called for BMG tix for mid-March and was told front row seats are available. It does not sell out far in advance like "O". So don't use this as a factor in your decision.
As for the hotels you mentioned: Mandalay is a full notch above the other two in virtually every respect. If the extra $$ are not too big a deal, it's worth it.
Luxor is pretty generic, as is MC. Furnishings are relatively cheap, more like a Courtyard hotel. They are midrange places which are a good value but basic.
Mandalay has some other advantages: several good and interesting restaurants and nightspots, best pools in LV, much nicer casino, classier feeling place. And the rooms are better with nicer bathrooms.

Just a quick note- if you choose the Luxor their gourmet restaurant is terrific. It doesn't get the much notoriety because of the bigger hotels competition but that place is truly amazing. Mostly seafood & other ethnic choices. In matter of choice to stay I would suggest Mandalay, Luxor, and then Monte Carlo.

I have stayed at all three over the past couple of years.
The Manadalay Bay is a better quality hotle IMHO than the Luxor or MC interms of room size, ground, pools (it has a large beach area with wave pool and lazy river (do not know if they are open im March).
The buffet is very good and with a lot of other restarants.
It is at the South end of the strip although there is a tram to Luxor and Excalibur.
Luxor was a reasonable hotel ( get the tower rooms rather than the pyramid as they are larger and have bathtubs rather than showers. They have 5 pools ( conventional).
Monte Carlo is good with a smaller wave pool and lazy river. It is more in the centre of the Strip and connected by monorail to Bellagio.
If you don not mind spending and extra $50 per night then MB is prbably the best if not the MC then Luxor but all three are good.
